THE WOMEN CHAINMAKERS’ FESTIVAL - 2 JULY 2016

The RMT will be supporting the annual Women Chainmakers’ Festival in Cradley Heath on Saturday 2 July 2016.  

This is a family fun day that celebrates an historic strike by women chainmakers in 1910 to fight for a minimum wage.

The festival has events planned from 11am to 5pm with a banner parade along the High Street at 3.15pm leading to a workers picnic in Mary Macarthur Gardens.  There will also be an all day children’s entertainment area.
