Together Against Trump

To all Branches and Regional Councils Circular National Policy NP/114/BO

Thursday 28th June 2018

Dear Colleagues,

President Donald Trump is coming to Britain from 12th to 14th July – and RMT is calling on its members to mobilise for a massive national demonstration on Friday 13th July against his politics of racism, war and hate.

The Stop Trump Coalition is a network of grassroots campaigns, unions, NGOs and politicians which came together in February 2017. Stand Up to Trump includes a range of campaigns against war, austerity and racism, as well as public figures who have pledged to mobilise against a Trump visit.

Starting at 2pm at the BBC, Portland Place, W1A 1AA with a march and rally in Trafalgar Square at 5pm

When Trump turns up I urge everyone to ensure that he gets a clear message that the people of Britain reject his view of the world, his racism, his sexism, his trade wars, his attitude to climate change and his threats to world peace.

All members and branches are urged to share these details with colleagues, friends and family and encourage everyone to attend.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Yours sincerely,

Mick Cash
General Secretary
