TRANSGENDER AWARENESS WEEK

Transgender Awareness week runs from 13-19 November each year and leads up to Transgender Day of Remembrance on 20th November, a day to commemorate the victims of transphobic violence.

The purpose of Transgender Awareness Week is to educate the wider community about transgender and gender non-conforming people and the issues associated with their transition or identity. This year, the union has produced a new poster design to show its support for our transgender and gender non-conforming members (attached). For copies of the poster please email m.santamera@rmt.org.uk

In addition, the RMT badge will also be produced using the colours of the transgender flag and this will be a permanent addition to our range of RMT logo badges available through our shop.
