Dear Colleague,

 

WORLD MENOPAUSE DAY

 

ACAS have chosen World Menopause Day, 18^th October 2021, to release updated guidance for employers on menopause at work.

 

The menopause is a natural stage of life which affects around half of the population. ACAS’s guidance covers what employers can do to support staff who are going through or experiencing the effects of the menopause.

 

May I take this opportunity to remind members that the union has a model menopause policy for negotiation with employers.  This came out of a resolution from the union’s national women’s conference back in 2017.  The model policy can be found here: https://bit.ly/3BTLBw8
