RMT YOUNG MEMBERS CONFERENCE 2023- HASTINGS

 

Further to my Circular (ED/002/1222) dated the 13^th December 2022, please find a reminder. The 2023 RMT Young Members Conference will take place at East Sussex College, Station Approach, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 1BA from Friday 24^th February to Saturday 25^th February 2023. The conference will commence at 0900hrs on the Friday and will finish no later than 1500hrs on the Saturday.

 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of four delegates each. Nominations must be made on the attached form, which should be returned to National Education Centre, Doncaster, by Monday 13 February 2023 or via email to m.cudjoe@rmt.org.uk.

 

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of young members throughout the transport industry and must conform to Union policy. All motions must be received at National Education Centre, Doncaster, by 13 February 2023. In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2024 Conference.  

 

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and what can be put towards their expenses before nominating. A per delegate payment is made to Branches, up to a maximum of seven, per Branch per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
