Rule 12F

NATIONAL BRANCH AND REGIONAL COUNCIL SECRETARIES’ CONFERENCE

 

Formation and Meetings

1. There shall be an annual National Branch and Regional Council Secretaries’ Conference. Branches, Regional Councils and Retired Activists Branches may be represented at Conferences by either their Secretary or Assistant Secretary. The Conference must conform to the Union’s policies as determined by the decisions of the Annual General Meeting or the National Executive Committee.

 

Items Germane

2. The National Branch and Regional Council Secretaries’ Conference shall be confined to germane matters relating to the organisation, function, administration and processes of Branch and Regional Council activities and duties, submitted by Branches and Regional Councils. 

 

Constitution

3.  The Committee shall adopt standing orders and a constitution, subject to these being approved by the General Secretary or the National Executive Committee and being strictly consistent with these rules.

 

Executive Committee

4. The Conference shall have an Executive Committee elected at the Conference each year. Five members of the conference Executive Committee will have a meeting with the National Executive Committee between annual conferences to discuss resolutions from the conference.  Additional meetings may be arranged by a decision of the National Executive Committee.

 

Dissolution etc.

5. The provisions of Rule 12, Clauses 2, 7, 9, 15 and 16 shall apply to this Conference, and for the purposes of such application, the Conference shall be deemed to be an Industrial Organising Conferences within the meaning of the Rule.
