BCNEC – 2020 Course Programme
The Bob Crow National Education Centre (BCNEC) has been since 3rd August, following an extensive risk assessment plan being introduced, delivering one course a week. The new working arrangements at the BCNEC to minimise risk due to Covid 19 have been operating successfully ensuring the absolute minimum of risk to Staff, Students and Tutors. It had been hoped to deliver two courses per week from the end of October, however having reviewed the risk assessment plan against the anticipated increase in numbers of students/tutors the centre will for the remainder of 2020 continue to deliver one course per week. A revised programme for the remainder of the year will be circulated week beginning 5th October.
Whilst this decision will limit our education provision temporarily, it has been taken to ensure the safety and well being of Staff, Students and Tutors attending the BCNEC. Also, the programme will be altered to ensure that when courses are delivered risk assessed trained staff are on site and available.
The recently circulated programme for 2021 currently remains live but in due course a further risk assessment review will be undertaken in the light of the government and RMT advice appertaining at that time. Any changes made to the 2021 programme will be circulated as soon as practicable.
