Rail union RMT says that new figures on complaints tweeted by passengers on the 14 rail companies serving London, released today by Commute London, fuel the case for public ownership.

General Secretary Mick Cash said;

"These extraordinary figures, which show massive volumes of tweeted complaints over delays, cancellations and overcrowding, show that the travelling public are sick to the back teeth of being robbed blind by the private train companies.

"With the Labour Party showing signs of waking up to the political significance of the great rail rip-off RMT will continue to ram home the case for full rail renationalisation with no fudges and no half way houses. This scandal has to stop. "
