STRIKE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED

Our Ref: BR2/4/1
7th July 2015

Dear Colleagues

ABROGATION OF COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURE, TRAIN DRIVERS - TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS

Further to my letter to you dated 2nd July 2015 in which I advised you that the union’s executive had called a 24 hour strike on Thursday 9th July 2015, I can now report that this industrial action has been suspended.

I can report that the Train Driver at Cleethorpes, whose disciplining highlighted this issue, has been reinstated to driving duties. The union’s executive committee has taken note of this development and has therefore agreed to the suspension of the strike.

Therefore you are instructed to work as normal.

I will, of course, keep you advised of any further developments as and when they arise in this matter.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
