RMT:

ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS SUSPENDED

Our Ref: BR2/0001/ATW
27th January 2016

Dear Colleagues

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS SUSPENDED

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2015
ARRIVA TRAINS WALES, DRIVERS

Further to previous correspondence on the above matter, I can report that significant progress has been made in talks with Arriva Trains Wales. Management has tabled a revised pay offer and has agreed to explore reducing the maximum turn length. The union’s negotiating team feel that it is now important that the RMT consults with you and your colleagues over the details of the company’s proposals.

Having considered this matter, the union’s executive committee has decided to suspend the industrial action to allow a consultation to take place. Therefore the strike action which was due scheduled for Monday 1st February 2016 and the indefinite overtime ban has been suspended.

You are therefore instructed to work as normal.

I will provide you with full details of the revised offer in due course. Additionally, you will be contacted by your union representatives in the coming days to discuss the revised offer from management. Make sure you have your say.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
