RMT:

ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION CANCELLED – DISPUTE IS RESOLVED

Our Ref: DLR/14/2

3rd March 2016

Dear Colleagues,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – KEOLIS AMEY DOCKLANDS

ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION CANCELLED – DISPUTE IS RESOLVED

As you will recall, the strike action due to take place in February was suspended following progress made in talks with the Company. Further talks have now taken place and at a meeting on Wednesday 24th February, a set of proposals were agreed with the Company to resolve the many issues forming this dispute. These proposals cover the use of agency staff, undermining of staff, bullying, breaches of agreements and breaches of our recognition agreement.

Since this meeting, the proposals have been received in writing from the Company and have been discussed with affected members at DLR Branch meetings. There has been good progress made in recent discussions and as a result of the commitments and assurances given, your Lead Officer and negotiating team recommended that the proposals are accepted.

The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and the correspondence on file and taken the decision to inform the Company that the THE PROPOSALS ARE ACCEPTED AND ALL INDUSTRIAL ACTION IS THEREFORE CANCELLED. The Company has been informed accordingly and also advised that the dispute situation between us is now resolved. The NEC also wishes to congratulate the Regional Organiser and negotiating team on their successful conclusion of this dispute.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
