BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – RAIL GOURMET (EUROSTAR CONTRACT)

First and foremost, congratulations on returning an excellent result in the recent ballot for industrial action and standing together in solidarity. The union’s Executive Committee has now had the opportunity to consider the fantastic vote that you returned in favour of taking strike action and has taken the decision to call on all our Rail Gourmet members on the Eurostar Contract to take industrial action as listed below:

All affected members are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-

•    00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Tuesday 25th August 2015

The RMT are demanding that Rail Gourmet return to negotiations with a view to tabling an offer which represents a significant increase to your pay and improvements to your terms and conditions.

I urge you to continue the magnificent support and solidarity with your colleagues in this dispute.
