Dear Colleague,
First of all let me congratulate all of you on the recent ballot, you produced an excellent result and you should be commended for standing together in solidarity. Management's refusal to abide by the agreed procedures and failure to show you the respect you deserve as skilled and dedicated worker has resulted in a total breakdown in industrial relations.
The union's executive committee has now had opportunity to consider the fantastic vote that our members returned in favour of taking strike action and taken the decision to call on all our Southern Engineering Grade members to take industrial action as listed below:
All affected members are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
•    16:59 on Sunday 12th July 2015 and 16:59 on Friday 17th July 2015.
In addition, members are instructed not to work any overtime, between:-
•    17:00 on Friday 10th July 2015 and 16:59 on Sunday 12th July 2015.
The solidarity and determination of members in the dispute has been incredible and I urge you to keep this up and stand shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues on the days of action.
Yours sincerely,
Mick Cash
General Secretary
