PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

TO ALL PICCADILLY LINE TRAIN OPERATORS

Our Ref: LUL/14/2

Dear Colleagues

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

Further to my letter of yesterday’s date, first of all I would like to congratulate you all on the magnificent display of solidarity that you and your colleagues are participating in today. All Piccadilly Line services are currently suspended and will remain so throughout the rest of the day.

However, management has informed me that they will deduct money from member’s pay, should Train Operators refuse to book on at Oakwood.

Therefore, the union’s National Executive Committee has considered this matter and instructs you to continue to book on at Oakwood as per your normal working arrangements.

However, the following strike action will continue as previously advised:-

DO NOT TO BOOK ON for any shifts that commence between:-

•    12:00 hours on Tuesday 19th April 2016 and 11:59 hours on Wednesday 20th April 2016
•    12:00 hours on Thursday 21st April 2016 and 11:59 hours on Friday 22nd April 2016.

It’s a shame management did not put as much effort into resolving this dispute as they did in making threats to stop your money because the problems you are experiencing still have to be addressed. We will continue to fight to resolve this matter.

I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
