Number of votes cast in the ballot: 121
Number of individuals answering “Yes” to the question: 114
Number of individuals answering “No” to the question: 7

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on the overwhelming ballot result and for standing shoulder to shoulder during the industrial action.

Your Union has constantly been trying to resolve this dispute and we are currently preparing proposals to be put to the company, which we believe will allow for a resolution to be found to the dispute.

Therefore, the industrial action due to take place at 0001 Hours on Friday 3rd December 2021 and 2359 Hours on Saturday 4th December 2021 is suspended. Members are instructed to work normally, and you should book on for your shifts as normal.

This is to allow further talks to take place. However, the Union will set out further strike dates for later this month, which will be communicated to members in good time. This is to ensure management negotiate with the Union in good faith and to focus the company’s mind in meeting our demands.

I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter and I will update you further on developments.

Yours sincerely

Michael Lynch
General Secretary
