DEFEND JOBS, PENSIONS & AGREEMENTS – LONDON UNDERGROUND

 

ROLLING STRIKE ACTION CALLED FROM Sunday 23^rd July TO Friday 28^th July 2023

 

The Union recently became aware of several significant developments in this dispute, including:

 

A consultation exercise to discuss further organisational change on LU Stations involving wider working areas and more flexible working across all station grade members.

 

Proposals to introduce changes to our agreements

 

Rejection of our demand to fully protect the salaries for any members who are redeployed into lower roles as a result of organisational change

 

A failure to agree the Trains Modernisation Plans at Trains Functional Council. Despite our position, management refused to alter or withdraw the proposal and intend to progress the plans to reduce train operator headcount and impose massive flexibility demands onto members.

 

The Lead Officer has consulted with your Reps and reports unanimous support for a programme of industrial action over a week commencing Sunday 23^rd July. The National Executive Committee has considered this matter today and I will write to you again tomorrow with full details of the times and dates of your specific strike action.
