INDUSTRIAL ACTION CALLED FOR 23RD AUGUST 2015 SUSPENDED

ALL MEMBERS INSTRUCTED TO WORK NORMALLY

Dear Colleagues,

Dismissal - T Rayner – Signaller – Network Rail

With reference to the above, I have been in contact with the Western Route Managing Director who has agreed to urgent talks with your representatives to try and reach a satisfactory position in regard to the dismissal of your colleague, Brother Rayner.

The General Grades Committee has, therefore, agreed to suspend the overtime ban that was due to take place between the hours of 00.01 Sunday 23rd August and 23.59 on Saturday 29th August 2015 to allow these discussions to take place. Members are instructed to work normally.

I would also like to advise you that Network Rail has agreed to a 28 day extension to the period in which the ballot remains ‘live’ so should agreement not be reached it will still be possible to take industrial action up until the 30th September 2015.

I will keep you advised of developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
