RMT members working for Doppelmayr Cable Car (DCC) have voted to accept a pay and conditions offer following negotiations with the company. The deal includes a 3.3% pay increase, backdated to 1st May 2024, with further increases linked to inflation for the next two years.
On top of the pay increase, members have won significant improvements to working conditions, including a reduction in the working week from 44 to 40.5 hours, with paid meal breaks included.
Key features of the agreement include:
A 3.3% pay rise backdated to May 2024, and further CPIH + 0.5% increases in 2025 and 2026
Reduction in working hours to 40.5 hours per week, including paid breaks
Double time for bank holidays
Increased paternity leave to 4 weeks on full pay
Enhanced maternity pay and a premature baby policy
Additional sick pay entitlement after two years of service
Reduced time required to request late-shift transport
RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch praised the determination of the members in securing the agreement.
He said: "This is a significant win for our members at Doppelmayr Cable Car. They have shown great determination and unity, and as a result, they have secured a deal that not only gives them a well-deserved pay rise but also significant improvements to their working conditions. This victory shows the power of collective action."
