Dear Colleague,

RMT NATIONAL LGBT+ MEMBERS’ CONFERENCE, LONDON, 14-15 MAY 2026

I am pleased to inform you that next year’s National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender+ Members’ Conference will take place at the London Museum Docklands on Thursday 14^th May 2026 (starting with an optional introductory session at 12.30pm) to Friday 15^th May 2026 (concluding by 4pm).  Lunch will be provided on both days and there is a social on the Thursday evening.

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate up to a maximum of four LGBT+ delegates each. Nominations can be accepted via email from the branch email address and should be received by 30^th January 2026.

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns to our LGBT+ members and must conform to union policy. All motions should be received at Unity House by 30^th January 2026.  In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2027 Conference.   

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with their subscriptions and clarify what payments can be made towards their expenses before nominating.  A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches/Regions, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch/Region per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’s, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
