RMT NATIONAL WOMEN’S CONFERENCE 6-7 MARCH 2027 - YORK

I am pleased to inform you that next year’s National Women’s Conference will take place at the Malmaison, 2 Rougier Street, York YO90 1UU from Saturday 6^th March (from 12.30pm) to Sunday 7^th March 2027 (concluding by 4pm). 

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of four women delegates each. Nominations can be accepted via email from the branch email address and should be received by 5^th February 2027.  

The Malmaison has offered delegate B&B rates as follows: Friday £170.00, Saturday £200.00, which can be booked by calling them t:01904 946 060 Option 1 quoting RMT Women’s Conference.  Delegates are not obliged to stay at the hotel for the purposes of the conference. 

Branches and Regional Councils are invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of women throughout the transport industry and must conform to union policy. All motions should be received at Unity House by 5^th February 2027.  In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2028 Conference.  

Branches and Regional Councils need to check with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and clarify with them what the Branch/Region can put towards their expenses before nominating. A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches/Regions, up to a maximum of seven, i.e. £350 per Branch/Region per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’s, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
