RMT YOUNG MEMBERS CONFERENCE 2026

I am pleased to inform you that the 2026 Young Members Advisory Conference will take place at the Royal Station Hotel, Neville Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 5DH from Friday 27th February to Saturday 28th February 2026. The conference will commence at 0900hrs on the Friday and will finish no later than 1500hrs on the Saturday.

Branches and Regional Councils are entitled to nominate a maximum of four delegates each. Nominations must be made on the attached form, which should be returned to the National Education Centre, Doncaster, or via email to m.cudjoe@rmt.org.uk by Monday 9th February 2026.  

Branches and Regional Councils are also invited to submit motions for the agenda of the Conference which should be relevant to the concerns of young members throughout the transport industry and must conform to Union policy. All motions must be received at National Education Centre, Doncaster, or via email to m.cudjoe@rmt.org.uk by 9th February 2026. In addition to the above, invitations would be welcome from Branches and Regional Councils to host the 2027 Conference.  

Branches and Regional Councils need to confirm with delegates that they are up to date with subscriptions and what can be put towards their expenses before nominating. A £50 per delegate payment is made to Branches, up to a maximum of seven, i.e., £350 per Branch per year, payable in respect of delegates to a Grades Conference or the RMT National Women’, Young Members’, Health and Safety, Black and Ethnic Minority Members’, LGBT+ Members’ or Disabled Members’ Conference.
