3rd April 2014
RE-GRADING, MAINTENANCE DEPOT DRIVERS, HEATON & NEVILLE HILL TRAINCARE DEPOTS – NORTHERN RAIL
With reference to the above may I congratulate you on the magnificent way you all supported the strike action in February together with the overtime ban. It can have left management in no doubt of your determination to win this fight to obtain a fair remuneration for all the hard work you undertake on behalf of the company.
You have been supported by your colleagues on the picket line which must have been a great boost to you all and shows the solidarity and camaraderie of fellow members.
Having taken note of your wishes the General Grades Committee has decided to call further strike action and this is as follows:-
All members are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
• 18:59 hours on Thursday 10th April 2014 and 18:58 hours on Wednesday 16th April 2014
I would also remind members that the continuous overtime ban remains in place.
I am sure you will all support this action, as you did the last, and that by sticking together you can obtain a fair settlement. – UNITY IS STRENGTH.
Acting General Secretary
