INDUSTRIAL ACTION REMAINS IN PLACE
First and foremost, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our members on the successful strike action taken last weekend over the threat to jobs, services and safety. The strike action was solidly supported at all locations right across First Great Western. Further, as members may be aware, urgent talks have taken place this week between your Senior Union Representatives and FGW management in an effort to resolve the current dispute but no agreement has been reached. Therefore, the following industrial action remains in place:
All RMT members at First Great Western are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
All Fleet Maintenance Grade Members
All Fleet Maintenance grade members are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
• 00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Saturday 29th August 2015
• 00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Monday 31st August 2015
All Fleet Maintenance grade members will be instructed to take discontinuous industrial action short of a strike as outlined below: -
• Not to work any overtime or rest days between 00.01 hours and 23:59 hours on Sunday 30th August 2015
All Other Grades (Excluding Fleet Maintenance Members)
All members excluding Fleet Maintenance grades will be instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-
• 00.01 hours on Saturday 29th August 2015 and 23.59 hours on Monday 31st August 2015
Once again, I would like to thank all our members for your strength of feeling, determination and solidarity shown throughout this dispute and I hope this will continue until all our demands are met.
