Dear Colleague,

Introduction of Agency Trainers, Fleet – London Underground

Following the massive ‘YES’ ballot result from you and your colleagues in respect of the above, LUL continue to refuse to accept that the use of Agency Trainers is unacceptable and the General Grades Committee has now taken the decision to call on all Fleet members to take part in the following industrial action:-

•    With effect from 21:30 hours on Thursday 9th July 2015, until further notice, all Fleet Trainer members will be instructed not to train any contractor or any non-LUL employee.

•    With effect from 21:30 hours on Thursday 9th July 2015, until further notice, all members will be instructed not to attend any course run with contract trainees.

•    With effect from 21:30 hours on Thursday 9th July 2015, until further notice, all members will be instructed not to work any overtime.

I urge you all to take part in the above industrial action to demand that the deplorable use of agency trainers in this way is halted and demand that management properly adhere to our agreements, including conducting genuine consultations with your RMT Reps before any changes are imposed.

As always, we remain available for talks with LUL aimed at resolving this dispute, which will remain in place until this matter is resolved to members’ satisfaction. I will keep you advised of all further developments.

STAND FIRM TOGETHER – SUPPORT THE ACTION
UNITY IS STRENGTH

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
