London Underground action to go ahead

London Underground action to go ahead

4 January 2017

RMT Press Office:

Action goes ahead as LU fail to make new proposals to tackle tube stations staffing and safety crisis.

Mick Cash, RMT General Secretary, said:

“RMT is bitterly disappointed that LUL brought nothing new to the negotiating table today despite assurances that fresh proposals to tackle the growing safety and staffing crisis would be forthcoming.

“As a result of LUL's  failure to address the issues at the heart of the dispute the talks are adjourned and all action remains on. The ball remains in LU's court and while RMT remains available for talks it is down to the company to come back into the process with serious proposals.”

Ends.
