Dear Colleagues

48 HOUR STRIKE CALLED AT VINCI

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2018 – VINCI (ARRIVA RAIL LONDON CONTRACT)

Further to my letter dated 1st March 2019 in relation to the above, your union’s National Executive Committee has recently met with the Lead Officer and your Representatives to discuss the best strategy going forward to resolve the pay dispute. Having taken into consideration the views of your Lead Officer and elected Representatives, the union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and believes we have no alternative but to take further strike action in order to win pay justice at Vinci.

Therefore, all Cleaner members are instructed NOT signing on for any shifts commencing between:-

  • 21:00 hours on Thursday 4th April 2019 and 20:59 hours on Saturday 6th April 2019.

Additionally, the RMT will be organising another demonstration at Arriva Rail London’s Head Office at Swiss Cottage at 10am on Friday 5th April 2019 and I urge you all to attend if you can.

The unity and outstanding solidarity you have shown the union and one another to date has been amazing. You and your colleagues are a true inspiration to the whole Trade Union movement and I urge you all to continue with this fantastic show of solidarity.

The company are aware that as always, RMT remains available for talks and is ready to enter into negotiations in order resolve the current dispute.

STAND FIRM TOGETHER – SUPPORT THE STRIKE

Yours sincerely
