ABROGATION OF POLICIES & PROCEDURES – NORTHERN TRAINS

 

Further to my previous correspondence, I can now advise you that a meeting has been held with Northern management and your Union Representatives, where the concerns raised by our members over the abrogation of policies and procedures were discussed in great detail and I have received an update report from the Lead Officer, indicating that a satisfactory outcome has been reached on these issues.

 

The matter has been considered by the union’s National Executive Committee who hope that this matter and its satisfactory conclusion for our Representatives and affected members does not recur. The RMT will stand up to any manager who treats our members with contempt and deliberately fails to adhere to the agreed policies and procedures.

 

The Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company that the concerns raised by our members, Representatives and the Newcastle Rail & Catering Branch have been dealt with to our members satisfaction.
