Dear Colleague

RMT CALLS ADDITIONAL INDUSTRIAL ACTION OVER
ABUSE OF SUNDAY WORKING

ABROGATION OF ROSTERING AGREEMENTS, OFFICE BASED MANAGERS WORKING TRAINS ON SUNDAYS, SENIOR CONDUCTORS – CROSS COUNTRY

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you all for your superb show of solidarity on the two days of strike action taken on the 19th and 26th November 2017. I can now report that your Senior Union Representatives attended urgent talks with Cross Country management on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th December, in the hope of resolving this dispute and regrettably, the company has failed to respond positively to constructive proposals put forward by our Negotiating Team.

Therefore, your union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and has taken the decision to call on all our Cross Country Senior Conductor members to take additional industrial action as follows:

All affected members are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:-

•    00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Saturday 23rd December 2017
•    00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Wednesday 27th December 2017

For your information, I can confirm that the following industrial action called for remains in place:

•    00.01 hours on Saturday 9th December 2017 and 23.59 hours on Sunday 10th December 2017
•    00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Sunday 24th December 2017
•    00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Sunday 31st December 2017

I urge you to continue to show your strength of feeling to the company and stand shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues on the days of action.

UNITY IS STRENGTH – SUPPORT THE ACTION

Best wishes.
