MAKE SURE YOU RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER
VOTE YES TO BOTH QUESTIONS
Dear RMT Member,
ABUSE OF DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURE, BIRMINGHAM NEW STREET — NETWORK RAIL
Further to concerning reports regarding Network Rail’s abuse of disciplinary procedures at Birmingham New Street, you should by now have received your ballot papers. I am urging CSA members to stand together by voting ‘YES’ to strike action and ‘YES’ to action short of a strike in order to demonstrate that you will not allow yourselves and your colleagues to be victimised by the unfair use of disciplinary procedures.
Due to the extremely restrictive trade union laws, the previous ballot failed to meet the necessary minimum thresholds of members voting in the ballot and voting ‘YES’ for industrial action. I therefore urge you to complete and return your voting paper as soon as you receive it and demonstrate that you are willing to defend your safety at work and to demand the reinstatement of your sacked colleagues.
If you haven’t received your ballot paper yet, please email us at info@rmt.org.uk confirming your address, or contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 and a replacement ballot paper will be sent out to you by first class post.
Please complete your ballot paper and make sure you return it by no later than First Post, Tuesday 19thMarch 2024.
Important Note: The Scrutineer for RMT Ballots and Elections is ‘CES' (Civica Election Services). Letters from Civica are not junk mail and should be opened. |
Yours sincerely
