ABUSE OF DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES, DRIVERS – CROSS COUNTRY

Dear Colleague

ABUSE OF DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES, DRIVERS – CROSS COUNTRY

RMT SUSPENDS INDUSTRIAL ACTION

As you are aware, your union’s National Executive Committee took the decision to ballot you and your colleagues for industrial action over Cross Country management deliberately abusing the disciplinary procedures. The ballot for industrial action was held in conjunction with ASLEF who were also balloting their Driver members.

I am now able to inform you that progress has since been made with the company. Your union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and taken the decision to suspend the industrial action due to take place from 00.01 hours on Sunday 5th May until 23.59 hours on Saturday 11th May 2019.

As a result of the above, I have informed Cross Country that your National Executive Committee has suspended the forthcoming industrial action. Therefore, you and your colleagues are instructed to work normally.

I trust this keeps you fully advised on the situation.

Best wishes.
