Dear RMT Member,

 

ANNUAL LEAVE ENTITLEMENT, TRAIN MANAGERS, HOLYHEAD – AVANTI WEST COAST

 

Avanti West Coast are failing to address the issue of holiday rosters at Holyhead and are breaching long standing agreements. The current uncertainty around annual leave entitlements is putting immense pressure and stress on members at Holyhead. The recent response from the company fell short of our expectations and failed to address the concerns of members.  

 

This uncertainty is totally intolerable and despite the best efforts of the local LLC, AWC management team have failed to deal with this issue appropriately 

 

The Union’s National Executive Committee has considered this matter and the views of your Lead Officer and representatives. Following this feedback, the NEC believe we must now take industrial action by not undertaking any non-contractual overtime or working any rest days. Therefore, the NEC are instructing all Avanti West Coast Train Managers at Holyhead to not to work any overtime or undertake any rest day working between: 

• 0001 Hours on Wednesday 7^th February 2024 and 2359 Hours on Wednesday 6^th March 2024

 

I ask that you continue to stand shoulder to shoulder during the days of industrial action and that you continue to support your colleagues.
