BALLOT PAPERS DESPATCHED TODAY
MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR VOTE

Dear Colleagues

RATE OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2017
WETTONS (SOUTHEASTERN RAILWAYS CONTRACT)

I write further to my letter dated 29th August 2017, in which I advised you that you and your colleagues are being balloted for strike action and industrial action short of a strike. Ballot papers will have now been sent out to your home addresses and should be on your doormat in the next few days. Don’t leave it to the last minute - once you get your ballot paper vote straight away.

It is imperative that you use your vote. We have to make sure that we are not prevented from acting on members' wishes by the anti-trade union laws and every member needs to return their voting paper. Therefore, it is imperative that we stand together and demonstrate our strength of feeling to the company in this dispute. I am urging all members to vote YES to both questions in the ballot for industrial action. It is crucial that you return your voting paper by Thursday 21st September 2017.

If you do not received a ballot paper then please contact the RMT Freephone Helpline urgently on 0800 376 3706 or the RMT Switch Board on 020 7387 4771 and ask for the industrial relations department, where a replacement ballot paper will be sent to you by first class post. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has not received their ballot paper, ask them to call on one of the above numbers to update their details and to receive a replacement ballot paper.
