BREACH OF THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT – CROSS COUNTRY

Our Ref: BR2/14/2

17th July 2019

Dear Colleague

BREACH OF THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT – CROSS COUNTRY

Further to previous correspondence, members were notified of the ballot result where we were able to secure a mandate for industrial action short of a strike. This dispute is all about management holding negotiations outside the collective bargaining agreement and imposing changes to companywide agreements without the involvement of the RMT.

They have shown a total disregard to a principled process and have sought to undermine your recognised Trade Union at every turn. We cannot and will not allow this to continue. Therefore the NEC has considered this issue very carefully and instructed me to call all members to take the following industrial action.

In the notice of action we have served on the employer we have informed them that we will be calling members not to work any rest-days or non-contractual overtime from 23:59 Hours on Thursday 1 August 2019 until 23:59 Hours on Tuesday 6th August 2019. Please note this instruction and show your solidarity by acting in accordance with it.

I urge you and your colleagues to stand firm and united during this action and send a clear message that they must deal properly and meaningfully with your trade union.

SUPPORT THE ACTION

UNITY IS STRENGTH

Best wishes.
