To All Cross Country Members

Our Ref: BR2/14/2

10th October 2019

Dear Colleague

BREACH OF THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT – CROSS COUNTRY
AGREEMENT REACHED – RMT ACCEPTS COMPANY’S PROPOSALS

Further to my letter dated the 25th September 2019 with regards to the above matter and where I informed you that the union’s National Executive Committee had taken the decision to suspend the forthcoming industrial action to allow the Lead Officer and Company Council Representatives to fully consult on the company’s proposed agreement, aimed at resolving this dispute.

I can now advise you that consultations have been held with your Cross Country Company Council and the Lead Officer has indicated that the wording provided in the company’s proposed agreement is satisfactory to our Senior Union Representatives. The Lead Officer also indicates that a further meeting will take place with management on Thursday 31st October 2019 to discuss changes to the Disciplinary Procedure and Flexible Working agreement and I will, of course, keep you fully advised on developments, following conclusion of the meeting.

The union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and notes that a satisfactory agreement, supported by the Lead Officer and Senior Union Representatives, has been reached. Therefore, I have informed Cross Country that we accept the proposals and that a dispute situation no longer exists between our two organisations.

On behalf of myself and the union’s National Executive Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you and your colleagues for the solidarity you have shown throughout this long and difficult dispute. Your unity and strength has brought this matter to a satisfactory conclusion and makes perfectly clear what we can achieve by standing united.

UNITY IS STRENGTH

Best wishes.
