RMT CALLS FURTHER INDUSTRIAL ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE

Dear Colleague

BREACH OF THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT – CROSS COUNTRY

I want to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate you and your colleagues for the magnificent show of solidarity you have demonstrated throughout this dispute. The recent period of industrial action was solidly supported by Cross Country members with management left in no doubt about your strength of feeling on this issue.

Despite our best efforts to get the company to come to their senses, there regrettably been no further progress on the fundamental issues on which we are in dispute. As you know Management have shown and continue to show a total disregard for your Trade Union, having held negotiations outside the collective bargaining agreement and imposed changes to companywide agreements without our involvement.

Your union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and has decided to call further industrial action short of a strike as outlined below

• Not to Work any Rest Days or Non-Contractual Overtime from 23.59 Hours on Thursday 26th September 2019 until 23.59 Hours on Tuesday 1st October 2019.

• Not to Work any Rest Days or Non-Contractual Overtime from 23.59 Hours on Thursday 17th October 2019 until 23.59 Hours on Tuesday 22nd October 2019.

Please note this instruction and show your solidarity by acting in accordance with it. I urge you and your colleagues to continue to stand united and fully support the industrial action called by your union. Cross Country cannot be allowed to undermine and disregard your union and must be sent a clear message this will not be tolerated.

UNITY IS STRENGTH – SUPPORT THE ACTION!

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
