BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – ATALIAN SERVEST (LNER CONTRACT)
I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that it has been brought to my attention by your Union Representatives that there are a number of issues affecting our Atalian Servest members on the LNER contract which the company has failed to resolve.
Furthermore, matters have been exacerbated by the company’s plans to impose new rostering patterns that have not been properly discussed or agreed with the RMT through the formal Collective Bargaining Procedure.
This has resulted in a complete breakdown in industrial relations and a dispute situation now exists between our two organisations. The issues the RMT believes must be resolved are as follows:
-Continuing Pay Irregularities
-Signing In/Out from Duty
-Minutes required from TUPE consultation meetings held in 2019
Terms and Conditions of Employment
-Contracts of Employment
-Rostered Hours on the Contract
-Proposed changes to Contracts/Hours without agreement
-Changes to Rosters without agreement
-Circumventing the agreed Negotiating Procedure
I am currently carrying out the ballot matrix checks and once this is complete I will conduct a ballot for strike action and action short of a strike of all our Atalian Servest members on the LNER contract.
In the meantime, I would ask that you check your membership details are up-to-date and notify the Union of any changes to your membership records by contacting the RMT Head Office on 0207 387 4771 and ask for the Membership department. Alternatively, members can contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 or by emailing the Helpline at email@example.com and notifying them of any updates.
I trust this keeps you fully advised on the matter and I will, of course, update you on any further developments.
