BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – CHURCHILL SERVICES (SET GTR CONTRACTS)

 

I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that I have received a report from your Regional Organiser, indicating that Churchill Services has decided to embark on a campaign of Union busting, in an attempt to intimidate our members and representatives on both the SET and GTR contracts.

 

The Regional Organiser reports that Churchill Services are dismissing members without notice, increasing the number of new starters on zero-hour contracts, an increase in incorrect payment of wages and forcing changes to work locations, without consultation and use of the bargaining machinery.

 

Therefore, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed for a meeting to be held with your Union Representatives (on both the SET and GTR Contracts), the Assistant General Secretary and members of the Executive Committee. The meeting will take place on Monday 20^th May 2024 to discuss these issues further and I will, of course, update you on developments, following conclusion of the meeting.
