REMINDER TO VOTE
PLEASE RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER
BY NO LATER THAN TUESDAY 6th APRIL 2021
BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – MITIE (MERSEYRAIL CONTRACT SOFT SERVICES)
The deadline to submit your vote and have your say is fast approaching. With two bank holiday dates coming up it is imperative that you return your ballot paper. If you have not yet done so, please make sure you return your ballot paper to the scrutineer by the closing date of Tuesday 6th April 2021.
As previously mentioned, the bank holiday will make requesting a paper more difficult. Therefore, if you have not received your ballot paper or if you know of a colleague who has not received theirs, please contact the union immediately. You can contact us by email at email@example.com or contact the RMT Helpline on 0800 376 3706 and a replacement ballot paper will be sent out to your home address first class post.
Do not waste your vote. It is imperative that we get a massive return in the ballot for industrial action, so we are not prevented from acting on our members' wishes by the ballot thresholds. Failure to meet these thresholds means industrial action cannot happen, so a high turnout is crucial.
I urge you all to use your vote. Vote 'YES' for strike action and 'YES' for action short of a strike to force management back to the table to discuss the important issues at the heart of this dispute.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR VOTE - RETURN YOUR BALLOT PAPER
VOTE 'YES' FOR STRIKE ACTION AND 'YES' FOR ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE
I will, of course, keep you fully advised on any further developments.
