SUPPORT THE STRIKE

Dear Colleague,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – RAIL GOURMET (PADDINGTON DEPOT)

I am writing further to my letter dated 23rd December 2019 and in relation to the ongoing issues that you are facing in the Paddington Depot. As you are aware, the union has been in discussions with Rail Gourmet to try and find a solution to the issues at the heart of this dispute.

Today the Senior Assistant General Secretary and your representative met with Rail Gourmet to once again find a meaningful resolution and address our concerns. Some progress was made on a number of issues. However, the company once again fell short of providing a meaningful resolution to all the issues involved in the dispute. Rail Gourmet continued to provide no solution to the issues relating to bonuses and rosters and showed little regard in resolving these concerns.

Therefore, as the company have failed to meet our aspirations and provided no meaningful resolution to the dispute, the strike action remains on. As a way of reminder you and your colleagues are instructed to take strike action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:-

• 0001 Hours until 2359 Hours on Friday 10th January 2020.

I urge you all to continue to stand united against the company that has treated you and your colleagues with nothing but contempt. We must send them a clear message that until all our issues are resolved we will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder. Management need to get around the table and realise that we are determined to have all of our concerns resolved and not just the ones that suit them.

UNITY IS STRENGTH
SUPPORT THE ACTION
SUPPORT YOUR COLLEAGUES

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
