BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – SERVEST (EUROSTAR INTERNATIONAL CONTRACT)
I am writing in relation to the above matter and further to a concerning resolution submitted by our Euro Passenger Service Branch and our union representatives. The situation between managers and our members has been deteriorating for some time. Some of the issues that are most concerning are the rise of intimidating behaviour that is taking place at the hands of management. Also, Servest has failed to follow the correct machinery of negotiation and are side-lining the agreed negotiating apparatus.
The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and has instructed me to inform the company that a dispute situation now exists between the Union and Servest. Additionally, I am seeking an urgent avoidance of dispute meeting with the company to try and find a resolution and address our concerns.
Therefore, to ensure a swift ballot, membership checks are currently underway. I urge you all to ensure your membership details are correct in preparation for any ballot.
