BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, DRIVERS, HAMMERSMITH & CITY LINE (Hammersmith Traincrew Depot) – LONDON UNDERGROUND

Our Ref: LUL/14/2

25th November 2016

Dear Colleague,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, DRIVERS, HAMMERSMITH & CITY LINE (Hammersmith Traincrew Depot) – LONDON UNDERGROUND

As members will be aware, your Reps recently attended a meeting at RMT Head Office to discuss the on-going dispute on the Hammersmith & City Line. The consensus was that despite management being well informed of the numerous issues affecting you and your colleagues, they have not been resolved and things have in fact got worse. As a result and having noted the views from this meeting, the National Executive Committee took the decision to call on all affected members NOT TO BOOK ON for any shifts that commence between:-

•    21:30 hours on Tuesday 6th December 2016 and 21:29 hours on Wednesday 7th December 2016.

LUL management on this line remain belligerent in engaging with the Union in a productive manner and there are continuous breaches of agreements and procedures to the detriment of you and your colleagues. Your Reps are treated with contempt where meetings are cancelled at short notice and I urge you all to show the same level of solidarity as you all did during the strike action in September to demand that the issues at the heart of this dispute are addressed properly once and for all.

SUPPORT THE ACTION
STAND FIRM TOGETHER – UNITY IS STRENGTH

This matter will be considered again by the NEC on Thursday 8th December 2016 and I will of course keep you advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
