BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, EDINBURGH DEPOT – RAIL GOURMET

Our Ref: HC/14/2

14th November 2018

Dear Colleague

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, EDINBURGH DEPOT – RAIL GOURMET
RMT CALLS FURTHER STRIKE ACTION

Further to my previous correspondence with regards to the above matter, I would like to congratulate you and your colleagues for solidly supporting the strike action taken on the 30th October 2018. You and your colleagues gave a magnificent display of solidarity on the day of action.

Additionally, your Representatives have reported that you and your colleagues are prepared to take further strike action in order to get management to immediately stop the bullying and harassment of staff, stop abusing the disciplinary procedures and non-payment for additional duties and start treating you and your colleagues with the dignity and respect you deserve.

Therefore, the union’s National Executive Committee has considered the matter and has instructed you and your colleagues to take strike action and not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

• 00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Tuesday 4th December 2018
• 00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Monday 24th December 2018

I urge you to continue to stand shoulder to shoulder against Rail Gourmet’s blatant disregard for you and your colleagues. This dispute is about workplace justice. The only way to get management to address these issues immediately is by taking further strike action.

UNITY IS STRENGTH
SUPPORT YOUR UNION – SUPPORT THE STRIKE ACTION

Best wishes.
