BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

Our Ref: LUL/14/2

5 March 2020

Dear colleague

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

You and your colleagues delivered a unanimous vote in favour of taking industrial action over the dispute involving a whole host of concerns of you and your colleagues that had not been addressed by management.

Subsequent to the 15-0 vote in favour of taking action being declared, a number of meetings between your union representatives and London Underground have taken place. However, I have to advise you that the concerns raised in this dispute have not yet been resolved and the issue is continuing to be dragged on and on by management, who show no signs of getting this matter concluded.

Therefore, your National Executive Committee has endorsed the recommendation of your representatives that, with LU’s reluctance to resolve this matter and the mandate you delivered, strike action is now the only way of focussing management’s minds.

You are therefore instructed not to book on for shifts commencing between:

• 00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Friday 20th March 2020
• 00.01 hours and 23.59 hours on Friday 27th March 2020

Your NEC and I commend you and your colleagues for showing such determination to resist management’s abuses of industrial relations at Osborne House and we have full confidence that you will continue to support your union throughout this action.

A 100% turnout and a 100% Yes vote should already have been an indication to management that you and your colleagues are determined to seek a proper resolution to this matter, but it looks like only strike action will get LU to address your concerns.

UNITY IS STRENGTH!
STRIKE FOR JUSTICE!

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
