BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE – LONDON UNDERGROUND
I wrote to London Underground yesterday advising the company that a dispute situation now exists between us as a catalogue of issues of concern to you and your colleagues have failed to be resolved, despite the best efforts of your representatives.
The concerns I have highlighted to London Underground in my formal notice that a ballot will begin next Wednesday (18th December 2019) show a complete contravention of the Professional Service Control Agreement and our Machinery of Negotiation by management.
Your National Executive Committee has received reports of morale among Service Controllers at Osborne House being at an all-time low due to management imposing its own working arrangements and practices without agreement and, after consulting your representatives, has declared a dispute and instructed me to commence a ballot for strike action.
You will therefore receive your voting papers in the post shortly so look out for them and ensure they are returned. It is essential that every member takes part in this vote as our country’s anti-union laws are designed to make it very difficult for trade unions to reach the necessary legal thresholds.
If you do not receive your voting paper by 3rd January 2020, then please contact the members’ freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706 or email HYPERLINK "mailto:email@example.com" firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to advising you of a massive vote in favour of taking strike action early in the New Year as a message to London Underground management that they cannot continue to ignore the concerns of you and your colleagues or those of your representatives.
RETURN YOUR VOTING PAPERS!
