Dear colleague

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

Following the magnificent unanimous vote of you and your colleagues to take strike action, the matter has been considered by your union’s National Executive Committee.

Your NEC and I would like to place on record our congratulations to you and your colleagues – along with your representatives – on achieving a 100% turnout and a 100% Yes vote to take action. This vote is a clearest possible message you could have given to London Underground management that its failure to negotiate with your union and the imposition of rosters will not be tolerated.

The NEC has therefore instructed me to seek an urgent dispute resolution meeting with management and, should this meeting fail to address our members’ concerns then strike action will follow.

I am currently arranging such a meeting and hopefully this will take place at an early date. Following this, I will write to you again with details of all developments.

Once again, congratulations on delivering such a wonderful vote to take action and thank you for supporting your union throughout this process.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
