Dear colleague

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

I can advise you that since my communication to you of 5th March 2020 in which I instructed you to take strike action on Friday 20th and Friday 27th March 2020, progress has been made in this dispute.

Talks held at conciliation service Acas has resulted in London Underground setting out a number of proposals, including carrying out an independent investigation into the industrial relations situation at Osborne House which led to this dispute.

An Acas conciliator will now undertake this investigation and will meet staff to gain an understanding of the problems at Osborne House. Additionally, management have said that they are committed to resolving the issues within this dispute and improving relations with staff.

Having consulted with your representative, your National Executive Committee has noted this progress and has therefore suspended the planned strike action. You are therefore instructed to work as normal on both Friday 20th March and Friday 27th March 2020.

I would like to clarify that these strikes have been suspended to allow the discussions to take place and the dispute is still ongoing.

Thank you for showing solidarity with your colleagues and support for your union’s position during this process.

I will of course write to you again with any further developments as they arise.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash

General Secretary
