Dear Colleague,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, CENTRAL LINE LONDON UNDERGROUND

STRIKE ACTION IS SUSPENDED – BOOK ON & WORK AS NORMAL

Further to previous correspondence, your RMT Lead Officer and negotiating have been at a series of talks with the Company at ACAS in an effort to seek a resolution to this dispute and there has been some movement on the key issues. During these discussions, LUL Director’s present recognised our concerns in the dispute and it is felt by those present from RMT that management has demonstrated an actual desire to resolve the issues affecting you and your colleagues.

This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee which has noted the reports on file and has taken the decision to SUSPEND THE STRIKE ACTION due to take place from 20:00 hours on Friday 21st December to 02:00 hours on Saturday 22nd December and 04:00 to 20:00 hours on Saturday 22nd December. You are therefore instructed to book on for all shifts and work as normal.

There are further meetings scheduled to take place at ACAS in early January and if this dispute is not fully resolved in good time then further strike action will be called. I will of course keep you advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
