BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS

Our Ref: LUL/14/2

11th July 2018

Dear Colleague,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS
PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

STRIKE ACTION SUSPENDED – WORK AS NORMAL

As you will be aware, your RMT Lead Officer and negotiating team have been in talks with the Company at ACAS in an effort to avert the strike action. Earlier today an Offer of Agreement was received from the Company and having noted the views of your Reps, the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to suspend the strike action.

Therefore all Piccadilly Line Train Operators, Night Tube Train Operators and Instructor Operators should book on for shifts and work as normal.

While the dispute is not yet fully resolved, the Company has given commitments to cover all the issues in this dispute; Driver Numbers; Pressure on Drivers from Service Control Management; Release of Reps for TU Duties and Application of the Attendance and Disciplinary Policies. Further work will now take place towards implementing the agreements reached and I will of course keep you advised of developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
