BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS, VICTORIA LINE
Following reports received from your RMT Reps regarding various issues, I wrote to the Company earlier this year to advise that a dispute situation exists between us over a breakdown of industrial relations affecting you and your colleagues on the Victoria Line. Since this time, there have been two meetings with the Company but these issues remain unresolved and following a meeting with the Lead Officer and Reps, the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to conduct a ballot for strike action of all Victoria Line Train Operators, Night Tube Train Operators and Instructor Operators.
The issues which form this dispute are: breaches of the attendance at work procedure; unlawful deduction of wages; attempts to derecognise the SSTO grade at the lowest level in the machinery; breaches of the framework agreement including enforced and imposed overtime; unacceptable noise levels on the line and undue pressure and bullying of Drivers from Service Control Management.
Ballot papers will be posted to you and your colleagues on Monday 15th July 2019 and the closing date for the ballot is Tuesday 30th July 2019. Please vote as soon as you receive your ballot paper and return it in the freepost envelope provided.
If you do not receive your voting paper, or know of a colleague who has not received it, please call the freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706, RMT Head Office on 0207 387 4771 to ask for the Industrial Relations Department or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to request a replacement.
