BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS

Our Ref: LUL/14/2

6th November 2018

Dear Colleague,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TRAIN OPERATORS
PICCADILLY LINE – LONDON UNDERGROUND

STRIKE ACTION SUSPENDED – WORK AS NORMAL

Following further talks with the Company at ACAS, RMT Reps and members attended a meeting on Friday last week to discuss the latest developments and current status of the items in dispute. The consensus from this meeting was that all of the issues have been satisfactorily addressed by the Company in a number of letters received, including a commitment to hold weekly meetings to monitor progress and an action planer setting out how issues are being resolved, managed, monitored and governed.

The National Executive Committee has considered this matter, noted the above and that the company are now seemingly abiding by agreements. The NEC has therefore taken the decision to suspend the strike action due to commence from 12:00 hours tomorrow Wednesday 7th November 2018.

All Piccadilly Line Train Operators, Night Tube Train Operators and Instructor Operators should book on for shifts and work as normal.

All Piccadilly Line members are congratulated for their solidarity and support which has enabled us to reach this position and improve conditions for all members. The magnificent action taken at the end of September brought the company back into line and demonstrated your complete resolve to have the unacceptable situation on the Piccadilly Line put right.

The Union will of course remain vigilant going forward to ensure that good working conditions and successful industrial relations on the Piccadilly Line are maintained.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
